The province of Texas has executed a Mexican national, starting an objection over his human rights.
Ruben Cardenas Ramirez was articulated dead at 22:26 (04:26 GMT) subsequent to accepting a deadly infusion.
He had been sentenced the 1997 hijack, assault and murder of his 16-year-old cousin, Mayra Laguna.
Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto censured the execution, saying it disregarded an UN administering on the treatment of Mexican detainees in the US.
The sister of the killed young lady was cited by AFP news organization as saying the execution had brought "genuine peace" to the family.
'Not about culpability'
Mexico canceled capital punishment in 2005.
"I immovably censure the execution of Ruben Cardenas Ramirez in Texas, which abuses [the] decision of the Global Court of Equity," Mr Peña Nieto tweeted.

In 2004, the ICJ, an UN body, found in a judgment that the US had ruptured its commitments under universal law by not telling the Mexican specialists about the capture of 51 of its nationals, including Cardenas, and had denied them "the privilege to consular help from their legislature."
Carlos Gonzalez Gutierrez, the Mexican delegate general in Texas, was cited by AFP as saying: "For the legislature of Mexico this isn't an issue about culpability or blamelessness, however about regard for human rights and due process."
Relations amongst Mexico and the US have been tense over President Donald Trump's intend to fabricate a fringe divider as a feature of his organization's endeavors to control migration, demanding Mexico should pay for it.
